Here at Mimic, we are passionate about painting and our main focus is to produce hand painted models of exceptional quality.
We have a hugely experienced, competition winning painter with over 20 years of accumulated painting knowledge. Our ordering process includes consultation with the client to establish the ideal final product. This includes confirming the correct style, inspiration and references before painting begins. As well as providing regular work-in-progress updates, we also live stream the painting process over on our Twitch channel. Here you are welcome to drop in and see the project come together in real-time, chat to the artist and witness first-hand the love and care that goes into each and every artwork that we create. We are building a welcoming community that loves to hang out with chill vibes and nerdy chat!
Finally, after painting we will confirm the final work with you to ensure you are delighted with the finished result. The item is then expertly packaged and can be shipped worldwide to take pride of place on your shelf or display cabinet!

Painted models terms & FAQ
Why is my chosen model out of stock?
Our painted models are in very high demand! It is usually not possible for us to enable the painted models for general purchase because the queue and wait times would quickly become unmanageable. If you are lucky enough to see any painted models "in stock" be sure to snap them up as it won't happen very often!
How do I purchase a painted statue?
Due to the demand, we make all of our painted statues to order by request. This also allows us to consult with you to establish your individual requirements and give a clear and accurate lead time. Please contact us if you wish to purchase a painted statue.
Will my painted model arrive assembled?
For smaller sizes, they will be mostly assembled. Some parts will be shipped unattached for protection in some cases. These will be designed in such a way that they will slot into place without the need for glue on arrival. This may include the use of magnets, small metal rods or shaped pegs. The use of glue is still optional, however and would provide more strength if desired.
Larger size models will be more extensively magnetised and will require further assembly upon arrival. We design everything so that glue will not be required but is recommended on the larger models in particular. If you would like our glue recommendation or would like glue supplied with your purchase, please let us know!
How much is shipping to my country?
We calculate shipping costs as part of our quote for painted models. The weight and size of the finished painted model can vary greatly. Your shipping cost will be calculated as an additional cost alongside your quote for the painted model.
Does the shipping cost include taxes?
No, the buyer is responsible for any additional taxes or custom fees applied by your country of residence.
Can my package be marked as a gift?
No, for both legal and insurance reasons your item must be marked with the appropriate sale value. Due to the time and effort put into each artwork, it is vitally important for our survival that appropriate compensation can be claimed for each item sent. This covers both ourselves and the buyer should any problems arise.
How long will I wait to receive my statue?
As part of our consultation process we will establish an accurate timeframe for completion and shipping of your model. This lead time can vary depending on workload, but we aim to operate at no greater than a 80 day processing window. The exact shipping time is subject to variation outside of our control depending on the destination country and individual customs procedures. We understand that the wait time can be long, but please be prepared to be patient. We are fully confident that your statue will be worth the wait!
What happens if my statue becomes lost or damaged in transit?
We ship every item fully tracked with insurance to protect both ourselves and the buyer. In our experience, lost or damaged items are very rare but do happen occasionally. Please check you email and tracking details for updates on any delays to your package. If your item arrives with damaged packaging or evidence of tampering, please ensure to photograph and document this to allow for smooth compensation claims.
What if I don't like the finished model?
We believe in only shipping the model once you are satisfied with the final photos. Our consultation process is designed to establish any specific requirements for style or colour scheme. We will confirm with you which reference images we will use to create the artwork. Please be clear if there are any special requirements during this process. We will be happy to consider small amendments to the final piece should they be required.
Please be aware that due to these products being a custom ordered piece of art, we will not offer refunds after work has begun on the project.
